EXTRACURRICULAR EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES

MEET THE PROFESSIONALS
During this networking event, professionals come to the university to chat with students about their jobs in the marketing, PR and advertising fields. I found it interesting as it gave me ideas of professional paths I didn’t think about and I tried to imagine myself in these positions to see if they would suit me.
E-CAMPAIGN IN A DAY
During the “E-Campaign in a day” event, we had to build a whole digital campaign to promote the change of the age of the voting rights from 18 to 16 years old in the UK. It was very intense but I enjoyed it a lot. We were mixed with 2nd and 3rd years students and it was really interesting to mix our knowledge and to see what skills I am going to get throughout my studies! My team even won the competition :)

CRISIS SIMULATION
Crisis Simulation was the most stressful event that happened!! In small groups, we had to manage the communication in a situation of crisis regarding COVID-19 cases at the fictional University of Telson. It was really difficult to keep up and stay organised as questions and tasks were popping up all the time. It was a really good experience as I understood the management of a crisis which is going to be helpful once I’ll work in a company.
TRIP TO NY
The Fashion Journalism course organised a trip to New York and Public Relations students were invited. I spent a whole week in the Big Apple and it was an amazing trip. I could discover many things. Museums were incredible and I was amazed by all the advertising that was in Times Square. It was a really good experience and I keep amazing memories of it!

LEVEL 5 PR&COMMS COURSE REP
I was elected course rep in my second year. The other course rep and I organised a virtual hangout at the beginning of the year to chat, play games and to get some feedback from our peers. We also assisted in meetings such as Course Committee Meetings.
